I'm Heather Jarvis, and this is my site. I've been doing freelance design and tutoring for the last two years while I lived in Edinburgh after completing my MSc. in Design & Digital Media at the University of Edinburgh. Now I'm back living in Toronto, doing much the same thing, freelancing and living and breathing design in all its glory.
I'm also one half of the open-source design studio phaxmachine, as well as co-creator of the upcoming Hobo Cartel.

I've been very busy as of late, working a 9 to 5 (what a way to make a living), and trying to keep up with the freelancing on the side, and on the side of that trying to find some time to work on personal projects. Hoping to post some new work and do a general update in the coming weeks.

Yikes, so I've spent the better part of a month designing and redesigning my site. I had taken the original site down ages ago, thinking "oh it will just be a week or two until the new site is ready to go". Flash forward to October, 3 variations later, I'm just crossing the finishing line now.
